Every science is based on this truth, now if the task of small fragments of human knowledge is called science, then that means finding unity in the midst of different phenomena & the task becomes Stupendous in the midst of a marvelously diversified universe. This world has Unnumbered differences in name & form, in matter and spirit thought differing from each other’s thought.

Each form differs from every other form, yet humanity needs to harmonize with all those many differences of the unending world with its infinite variety of land & set at every natural unity directed as truths by the Indian Upanishads. Hence Indian thought & vision of UNITY IN DIVERSITY among all different religions & cultures and languages should be the model for the present world poised for global unity based on the ever underlying Unity between man and man, religion and religion. culture & culture which is deeply rooted in the souls & minds, spirits, and thoughts as the National Ideal and Philosophy of life in India poised for global human understanding & unity.

International Understanding of Human Unity

It is indeed a proud privilege for the educated and peace-loving people of India that the Indian Government with its Ministry of HRD and National Commission for cooperation with UNESCO had firmly launched the UNESCO-supported unique program International Understanding for Human Unity”. Is no doubt well-thought. advanced & most effective step towards global unity which has been adopted & run by RMIC, Kolkata since September 2005 to bring about an overall & wider impact and virtuous effect in the minds of the participants of the course over the last 15 years successfully who are learning to grow in them the pervading spirit through the outstanding discourses and discussions by the scholars and experts from different fields related to different aspects of International Understanding for Human Unity.

Being a participant, I have humbly tried to write this essay in my meager understandable capacity perceived through the wise- discourses of the experts & erudite professors & personalities. We as participants offer our heart-felt regard & gratitude to RMIC.

TODAY’S WORLD SCENARIO

THE WORLD HAS EXPERIENCED MANY WARS & BATTLES, AND THE BLOODSHED OF MILLIONS & MILLIONS OF PEOPLE THROUGHOUT THE HUMAN HISTORY AND EVOLUTIONS, BUT TODAY’S WORLD SCENARIO IS QUITE DIFFERENT THAN THE PAST. If we look at the nuclear world, we find massive accumulations of nuclear weapons by some countries preceded by their egoistic and power-mongering sentiments, the situation is so dangerous and alarming that anytime the world might be confronted with massive nuclear destruction & the entire human race might be wiped off the surface of this planet. Hence the urgent yearning & intense feelings of international brotherhood & sisterhood need to be inevitably inculcated in the minds of all people as it stands for human unity and survival of the entire humanity by the indomitable spirit & power lying in every human mind of the world.

HUMANS ARE VERY FORTUNATE HAVING THE CHANCE TO HAVE been BORN ON THIS PLANET full of unique and wonderful & unbounded natural beauties, foods, resources, riches, treasures of knowledge & wisdom, peace, and happiness, pleasures & excitements & many different living species & to find ever-lasting unity among the people of the world for the sustenance of all these resources & beauties. All people should be individually and collectively prolific, self-reliant & truly ideal having firmly equipped physically, mentally, socially, morally, ethically, culturally, psychologically, intellectually, and spiritually.

An ideal citizen or a personality is loveable

Without earning or attaining these virtuous qualities one cannot groom himself as an ideal human being or an ideal citizen or a personality to be loveable to all. The more such number of people are increased in all counties, the world would be a paradise for all of people are increased in all counties, the world will be a paradise for all and be enjoyable for all unitedly. The sources of all knowledge for grooming & shaping oneself dynamically are the invaluable treasures of knowledge alike religious philosophy, sacred books amid scriptures, lives and teachings of the great world philosophers, erudite masters, visionaries, scholars, scientists, great teachers, all otherwise-predecessors, ideal parents and teachers along with learners’ yearning thirst for earning knowledge & experience.

Need for education in DEVELOPING COUNTRIES

IT HAS BEEN OBSERVED & NOTICED ALL OVER THE WORLD THAT IN ALMOST EVERY SPHERE OF INDIVIDUAL & SOCIAL LIFE, IN ADMINISTRATION, POLITICS, EVEN IN BUSINESS, PEOPLE SEEM TO BE LACKING IN BASIC HUMAN VALUES, especially IN THE THIRD WORLD COUNTRIEs INCLUDING DEVELOPING COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD, and until and unless the people of these countries are morally and ethically educated and grossly lifted to the level of human moral standard, the rich and the developed part of the world should help & assist those deficient countries in every possible way so that they soon become independently knowledgeable & responsible to annihilate their darkness of ignorance and illiteracy as well as can develop their mental and moral faculties filled & enriched with positive human values, soul spirit and desires to be ideal citizens to contribute to global unity.

TODAY THE WORLD IS IN NEED OF A UNIVERSAL AND UNIFORM BUT IDEAL PARENTING ORDER

Global humanity can never be at rest, peace & unity with imbalance or with inequal and partial development in the overall human nature, thinking habits, & actions noble inspirations & also being deficient in sensing and gaining basic human values in any place or country or the world as whole.. TODAY THE WORLD IS IN NEED OF UNIVERSAL AND UNIFORMED BUT IDEAL PARENTING ORDER to make it virtually effective in shaping the character & personality of today’s children so that they can be in the future ideal citizens of the globe.

Here proper parenting & care to the children play a very vital role in their learning process at home under the guidance of their parents so that when they will turn adult & strong will do enough for generating & exerting their soul spirit with compassion in doing good deeds as well as to contribute to their own society, country and thus to the global unity. Strength, purity of mind & intellect, equality, love for peace, compassion. Unselfishness in serving others, courage, confidence. fearlessness, harmony, integrity, knowledge & conscious unity for worldly progress among all humans for their lasting survival and existence on the planet in its natural state. The internationally functioning organizations play a very vital role in universal cooperation between the countries, cultural & educational fields, and the people-to-people contact in different methods of trade, give & take policy as well as a modern technological exchange that is also contributing to global understanding & unity.

IT IS UNQUESTIONABLE TRUTH THAT THE SPIRITUAL TRUTHS & ESSENCE realized by the educated devotees. religious leaders & preachers of the world should make honest efforts & steps to raise awareness among the people globally in the concept of one World Religion for founding humans, unity, harmony & integrity, and love & respect for each other’s culture & religion & helping each other since these values are the common vital assets & essences of all religions, faiths & human disciplines which should be taken accepted as the common heritage of all people of the world wherein no hatred & jealousy exist, no indifferent feeling should prevail since all people are the same unique & divine children of the Supreme soul God, under every religion as religion forming world religion.

SINCE HUMAN UNDERSTANDING FOR GLOBAL UNITY IS AN URGENT PRIORITY TO THE PRESENT WORLD FOR SURVIVAL OF THE ENTIRE humanity, IT Is NOT IMPOSSIBLE To HAPPEN NATIONS, IRRESPECTIVE OF THEIR POWER, EGO OR IMPERIALISTIC OR CAPITALISTIC POLITICAL, and COMMUNAL OR RELIGIOUS VIEWS. All the Countries must come together & closer with the basic & supreme awareness of understanding to share the common noble purpose to ensure human harmony, integrity & high security & unity to this highly involved human species with all the strength & capacities of the global nations together either rich or poor, developed or under-developed. Every brother country needed to develop independently & equally In cooperation with the developed & powerful brother nations in the light of discipline & education & technological advancement & application in terms of modern science & technology based on a humanistic & secular approach intended for global unity.

THE POWER OF ACHIEVEMENTS OF MODERN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY THAT ARE PRESENTLY AT HUMAN DISPOSAL CAN BE A VERY HELPFUL AID TO HUMAN UNITY. DESPITE VARIOUS OBSTACLES CAUSED By PSYCHOLOGICAL, POLITICAL, AND ECONOMIC DIFFERENCES & DIFFERING OPINIONS & VIEWS PREVALENT OVER THE HUMAN WORLD WHICH NEEDS To BE UPROOTED TOTALLY FROM THE HUMAN MINDS & SPECIALLY OF THE POWERFUL LEADERs OF RICH NATIONS because they are the leaders to lead & change the nature of their people & their indifferent & arrogant thinking, habits & ways following to selfishness, cunningness, aggressiveness & violent attitudes, dogmatism, religious fundamental attitudes together or partly are disturbing & torturing the global peace & unity.

MODERN SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

In this context & given world perspective, it is felt worldwide that MODERN SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY have majorly reduced the distance between man & man, place and place, nation & nation, and people and people all over the world, though many nations have been highly armed with devastating nuclear weapons, yet it seems today that better sense has started to prevail in the minds of those leaders & people of those concerned countries and now their national policies are turning towards global unity, peace and security of the entire human race, shifting from their vicious bounds, circles, confines of power & riches as aspiring for the ultimate goal of global peace & unity and to enjoy the happiness of the fruits and facilities rendered by the modern science & technology as the common assets of the entire humanity.

OBSTACLES IN PSYCHOLOGICAL, POLITICAL, ECONOMIC & ILLITERACY

I THINK THE FOLLOWING MAJOR OBSTACLES ARE STILL THERE BEFORE GLOBAL UNITY DIFFERENT POINTS OF VIEW, SUCH AS PSYCHOLOGICAL, POLITICAL, ECONOMIC & ILLITERACY ETC. When we talk about human unity, we must take into consideration these points of obstacles that need to be remedied in the world first when we find, the violent and aggressive attitudes and nature in humans are still major questions & problems all over the world on the way to Global Human Unity. Since the entire humanity is faced with a very dangerous and disastrous state having possessed by some powerful nations too much of nuclear weapons of destruction on the earth & there is every chance to wipe off the new whole of the human race & other living creatures from the face of this planet, hence global human unity is an inevitable must.

Leaders of powerful nations,

But this is though difficult because of the predominant aggressive & violent attitudes in human nature more specifically with the leaders of some powerful nations, groups, or world-dominating leaders made for expanding their territory or dominion & business to Impose supremacy over other weaker nations, but this practice cannot last long or can’t bring about global unity & peace & a lasting world.

Such an imperialistic & territorial expanding attitude is not alien to the current world since this aggressive attitude is more commonly present in the minds of the human beings from thousands of years back for they had to be so beastly spirited having fought even in a very dreadful environment against wild beasts for their survival indeed. However, the human race has changed a lot to have been well-mannered slowly & steadily over the past decades significantly by the influence & application of the ACHIEVEMENTS OF MODERN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY and that being widely useful to the world of humanity.

Humanity Is VERY MUCH FORTUNATE THAT THE PRODUCTS OF TECHNOLOGICAL EVOLUTION & ADVANCEMENT SUCH AS TELEVISION, computers, MOBILE phones, AEROPLANES, TELECOMMUNICATION & TELEBANKING & MANY OTHER ELECTRONIC ITEMS OF DAILY USE HAVE MADE HUMANS & EVIDENT COUNTRIES TO COME CLOSER, EVER CLOSER AND CLOSEST AS IN today WORLD SCENARIO.

But this does not suffice the means for human unity until total annihilation happens from minds of the leaders of the so-called rich & powerful nations & also of countries, their ever borne aggressive nature to transform their minds filled with good & progressive ideals, chastity in their thought, good & helping habits, righteous actions & activities, spirit of even love and service to other brother countries and also to respect to each other’s people, culture & religion to help prevail peace, harmony, integrity, solidarity & unity among peoples & nations through mutual love & understanding, tolerances & respect to establish global unity.

Here I need to conclude upon all my meager gestures & thoughts in the context of human understanding & unity that-

As a priority world peace order should be established and maintained, and sustained at any cost as the prime objective for I unity & survival of humanity. The concerned countries that are engaged in violence & terrorism and threatening the unity & peace of the world today shall never be successful in their evil & ill pursuit provided there is the unity of the major number of countries against the violent and aggressive countries who are intended to evil design to destabilize & destroy the world peace & existence of the humanity.

Together we can build a united, developed & everlasting human world in the future

Further to emphasize that if the young generations of all the countries can be shaped & transformed by the morally based education & on the concept of unity, integrity, solidarity & harmony as one & unique multi-cultural well-mannered human society, their minds & lives will be filled with peace, high morals, & righteousness, chaste thought. action & behavior which combined of these together can build a united, developed & everlasting human world in future.

CONCLUDINGLY IT IS MY HUMBLE COMMENT THAT THE UNO AND UNESCO & OTHER TOP WORLD ORGANIZATIONS & COMMUNITIES. the weaker countries must be directed, guided, encouraged & assisted to ensure hundred percent literacy with moral & man making educational curriculum having incorporated in the main national educational system of each global nation so that the young generations belonging to all communities & religions can be enriched & equipped with the basic human qualities to be ideal citizens & best contributors to the global unity, peace, understanding, progress & prosperity now & in future too.

The young generation’s role in global unity

The young generations of each country should be groomed with pure thought & intellect, Unselfishness, soft manners & voice, unselfish love & service to the deserving service of reasoning power, secular thinking, love & respect for each other’s religion, faith & culture.

In this pluralistic global human society, it happens, at times, as you are at school, in the office, on travel, or working in or outside of your country or in some meeting, conference seminar, or workshop, or in any public gathering or a party or get-together, in canteen or dining or any strange place, where you may find you to meet, face or talk some people either black, brown or white who might belong to different groups, religions, different linguistic groups. & communities like Christians, Sikhs, Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, Jews, Taoists & any other kind or class of people of different forms & ways. But you must have to act with them as they all are the same human beings like you as part or member of the same human race manifesting unity, peace & harmony.

Hence, all humans as part & member of the same global human body with the purpose of global peace, unity & harmony should have faith in India’s NATIONAL PHILOSOPHY of human life & existence based on its great national formulae “Unity in Diversity” which is purely the embodiment of Indian culture & civilization & is the rule or the diversely United Indian society which can be an ideal model to follow for the global unity.

HERE ARE GIVEN SOME MORAL CODES TO ENLIGHTEN PEOPLE’S INDIVIDUAL AND COLLECTIVE LIFE POISED FOR GLOBAL UNITY.

1. Know and believe that God is one & formless, but is the Supreme Power who created people as Christians, Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Taoists & all kinds of living species in animate things yet God likes to see them appear in all his creations evenly.
2. Mix with all freely, equally whatever group religion, or culture they belongs to.
3. Love & help all as your relations.
4. Think that none is alien or foreign to you.
5. Pay attention to all with an open heart.
6. Treat yourself own self that you are in no way separate from anybody or any group or people.
7. Try to serve others heartily as your own.
8. Think that you can never harbor malice to anybody.
9. Think that you can never turn up your nose to anyone with hatred or anger.
10. Try to share your love & affection with others of your liking.
11. Light up the lamp of love & knowledge in the chamber of your heart & put it on always.
12. Meditate to feel deeply at your chosen tranquil time in the presence of the Omnipotent God in your soul and your souls alike.
13. Know that you have belonged to the one Global Human Body & Part of the Cosmic Soul.
14. Have faith in yourself, faith in God & faith in Human Unity.

CONTRIBUTORS TO HELP IMPLEMENTATION OF INTERNATIONAL UNDERSTANDING & HUMAN UNITY

With the assistance & guidelines of UNESCO’s ICC, it is not impossible to establish a new world order of consciousness among the global nations, communities & people to bring about global security, peace, progress, mutual love & respect between peoples & religions, sustaining basic human values & humanistic habits & attitudes as ONE VAST HUMAN RACE, ONE WORLD CIVILIZATION & CULTURE, ONE COMMON HUMAN IDEOLOGY OF LOVE, SERVICE, HARMONY, INTEGRITY & UNITY.

To bring awareness among all the people &. nations of the world that humanity is a great & larger entity one human race when all the nations are interrelated & interdependent which is an indivisible unity of universal spirit & to know that, the progress of the whole world nations must not be in part but the whole, else the world cannot progress & develop for its universal existence.

Now the Nations have started to have their education system newly formulated & reformed as per international outlook & wider view to make it more consistent with the process & progress of global unity & understanding.

But to understand this we must have the theory of Advaita, the non-dualistic, monistic vision of life & humanity, which is the only philosophy that will guide science to peace & a holistic view of the world as ONE IN UNITY. This also indicates that the world & the universe are the same infinite & manifestations of the whole of creation into oneness & greatest UNITY.

INDIA’S RELIGIOUS SCRIPT THE UPANISHADS GAVE MAN THE SIMPLEST & PROFOUNDEST CLUE TO PEACE THAT LEADS TO UNITY. It says ‘Peace is only meant for him who has learned to see the ONE cosmic everywhere in this animate & inanimate universe. Such a peaceful conscious mind breeds the sole sense & vision of unity in a man & inspires him to see everybody and none else other than himself. So the purpose of every individual man or woman is poised peace as the human goal that manifests the underlying unity.

Novel Laureate poet Kabiguru Rabindranath Thakur’s writings & literature, poems, stories, plays, etc. together carry the symbol and spirit of internationalism. His life, philosophy, concept of education, religious belief & everything is full of international understanding and points to human unity & unity with God.  

Publications in different major languages on world kinds of literature & translations of those pieces of literature spread out into the collections of study libraries of both local & international. Cultural exchanges, sports & games, exports & imports of technology & scientific know-how, learning facilities of international & major languages in every country, travel and tourism, international seminars & conferences on different fields of knowledge, education, values, culture and welfare, trade & commerce of give & take. International religious conferences, international cultural exhibitions & book fairs, women’s education empowerment & many other similar factors & elements are immensely contributing towards human unity in the world.

Role of Sports

Sports also have the remarkable ability to transcend barriers, bridge divides, and promote unity. And solidarity among people and nations from diverse backgrounds, histories, cultures, and religions. Sports can indeed be a tool for promoting international understanding and fostering global unity.

International sporting competitions like the Olympics and World Cup competitions on such sports and games majorly like cricket, football, Tennis & others, bring together high dignitaries, athletes, heads of state, and different national representatives for better, mutual, and closer understanding among nations of the globe.

Besides, Sports can also provide a positive image to the international community for world peace. And co-existential understanding & unity as all nations are brother nations under the common human equanimity.

THE MAJOR OBSTACLES ON THE WAY TO GLOBAL UNITY NEED TO BE SOLVED UNITEDLY BY THE WORLD.

1. Today the world is ruled not by culture or humanistic thought, but by unthinking high finance, political self-interest, and militarism, because, humanity so far could not develop its cultural and scientific life in the new world order of modern civilization.
2. The global nations especially the underdeveloped and developing nations are seriously faced with economic, political, social, and cultural problems which are threatening the global unity, welfare, and existence of the entire humanity.
