A GLOWING TRIBUTE TO THE FOUNDERs

Rebati Majumder

Late Rebati Majumder

The Founder / Visionary

Knowledge secures salvation; It liberates a man from the ills of life….

MIES acknowledges with profound regard and immense respect the contribution of the Founder, Late Rebati Majumder who with his inspiring dedication and innovative, man-making, noble and new ideas laid the foundation of a service-oriented educational institute with the creation of MIES for the spread of education amongst the vivacious youth, particularly those from the lower-income-group family, to build-up their career.

His ideas were epoch-making. With his assiduous efforts, indefatigable zeal and dogged determination he always fought with the adverse circumstances of life and steered the Institute all through so dexterously as has helped blossom it in all directions. He cared greatly for the employees in MIES with the same sincerity and tenderness as he did for the members of his own family. He even personally knew each of them. And this inspired all the employees for active participation in the activities of MIES. He taught them never to lose heart, not to get daunted under any odds but to move unhesitatingly to reach goal.

Late Rebati Majumder thought deeply and realised that to address the sufferings of students, new ideas and methods need to be injected into the on-going education system so that student admitted into MIES are satisfied with the teaching and training and get recruited after he/she finishes his/her course of study. So engrossed
he was with his brain-child, MIES that he held the unique idea that an employee is deemed to be ‘at work’ from the time he leaves his home till he returns home after day’s toil and even after returning home the employee must set his mind towards the work of the Institute. He believed that only this way an organisation can move on and on and reach the pinnacle of development. He also thought of a good and cordial employer employee relationship for betterment of the Institute. Visionary as he was, he preferred diversification in the activities of the Institute, so that other young people who prefer to work in the dazzling environment of Corporate Houses can avail of the benefit of technical and management jobs in different sectors.

MIES solemnly pledges to follow his foot-print, his ideas in letters and spirit to give shape to his dreams.
